About Me

My name is Max Clark. I was born in Footscray Hospital which is now Western General Hospital, Footscray, Victoria, Australia in 1960.  I grew up living in Maidstone, Victoria and went to Footscray North Primary School.

My mother and father owned their own business which was a AMACO Service Station located on the corner of Spencer and Batman Streets, Melbourne and if my memory serves me correctly, dad's head mechanic was the brother of Keith Potker from the SEEKERS.  The service station has long gone but it holds fond memories to me, like the times when the stars from WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING would call in to put petrol in their cars.  Dad's servo was just around the corner from Festival Hall, Melbourne and this is where WCW was held.  I still remeber the first time I meet Mario Melarno, compared to me, he was HUGE and and not to be messed with.  I kinda miss those days,  They were great times.

Growing up was strange and fun as we moved around a lot and was continually making new freinds and going to new schools.  By the time I was 14, I had lived in Maidstone, Doncaster Heights, Croydon, Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Croydon North and Wonga Park.  If you think that is quite a few moves then you are right as it was but life was not meant to be dull, was it now.

I completed my schooling at Mooroobark Technical School in 1977 and began a carpenters apprenticship.  That did not last long as the building trade went bad and I was laid off before I could complete my first year.  Shattered, I turned towards my second choice which was joining the Defence Force.  So in 1979 I joined the Australian Army and basically I have never really looked back.  I spent a total of nine (9) in service and defence of this fantastic country called Australia before being discharged in 1988.  Looking back on my Army service, there really was not a dull time and I have some very fond memories of the things my mate and I use to get up too.  But that's another story for another day.

Now I'm 47 years old coming up to 48 and still loving my life.  You know what, each day life is just getting better and better and I would not change a thing about it.  I currently live in Cranbourne, Victoria.  I have a lot of friends which I would not change, an excellent family and love my work.  I enjoy travelling and I would enjoy travelling across the whole world! if the chance ever came up but at the present time I am extremely happy being where I am, being with the people I love and doing what I am doing.  I may not have all the money in the world or own fancy things or live in a million dollar mansion but I can say this where I am now I would not change a thing as I am happy.  If things changed down the line then it is meant to be and so it will be but until then I will continue doing what I am doing and most of all, loving every minute of it.

Max Clark.
